Module 2: Policy, Legal Considerations
This module provides students with an understanding of the legal considerations of the P.A.T.R.I.O.T. System™ methodology as it relates to the United States Constitution and how the P.A.T.R.I.O.T. System™ methodology does not use or condone racial/ethnic/religious profiling practices. This module also explains how contacts with the public are conducted and specific responses when elevated and reasonable suspicion is found. The P.A.T.R.I.O.T. System™ guidelines for the State of New Jersey are not designed for motor vehicle stops.
